FAQs

Frequently
Asked
Questions

A few things you might want to know before booking.

How do I book an appointment?

Send us a DM on Instagram @pintados.tattoo.studio with your idea, reference images, and preferred placement. We'll reply within 48 hours to discuss and schedule.

Do you require a deposit?

Yes, a small deposit is required to secure your appointment. This goes toward the final cost of your tattoo.

Can you replicate a design I found online?

We don't copy other artists' work. We can absolutely draw inspiration from references, but every design is custom-created for you.

How long does a booking take?

Session length varies depending on the size and detail of the piece. Small pieces can take 1–2 hours; larger work may require multiple sessions.

How much does a tattoo cost?

We price by the piece. Send us your idea and we'll provide a quote after a free consultation, no obligation.

Where are you located?

We're at 5 Huron Street, Takapuna, Auckland. Open Monday to Sunday, 10am–6:30pm. You can also reach us at pintadostattoo@gmail.com or call 027 284 9779.

How do I care for a new tattoo?

Leave the waterproof bandage on for 24–72 hours, removing it sooner if fluid builds up. After removing it, wash gently with lukewarm water and mild soap, then pat dry. For the first 3–4 days, clean with water only — no soap, and no ointments or gels for the first 3 days. Keep the tattoo dry, let any scabs fall off naturally (don't pick or scratch), and avoid direct sunlight, swimming, beaches, and heavy sweating until fully healed.

How should I prepare for my appointment?

Eat a full meal beforehand, stay hydrated, wear loose clothing around the tattooed area, and avoid alcohol for 24 hours before your session.
